Serving Together:
Fellowship, Outreach, and the Work Ahead
Ministry progress report · Updated October 27, 2026
October 27, 2026 · Next update planned for October 29
Dear ministry family,
Thank you for praying with us and encouraging the work. We want everyone serving alongside the ministry to understand what is happening, what the outreach has produced, and where help is still needed. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue in fellowship and to seek practical support for men, women, and children in Kenya and Malawi.
Our purpose remains to share God’s Word, encourage one another in Christ, and respond thoughtfully to the needs before us. We are asking the Lord for wisdom as we take the next steps, and we want our updates to reflect what has actually been done.
Fellowship and the ministry of the Word
Our relationships with John in the Rongo area of Kenya and Patrick in Blantyre–Machinjiri, Malawi, continue through correspondence, prayer, and online fellowship. Recent conversations have helped us understand the priorities local leaders are carrying. Our October 25 fellowship included teaching from Psalm 8 and prayer together.
Access to Scripture and useful teaching resources remains a central concern. We are considering language, printing, power, connectivity, and the ability to hear and share teaching in a group. These practical details matter when planning support that local leaders can use and sustain.
The outreach completed so far
The records reviewed document 407 outward-facing ministry emails across 382 distinct recipient email addresses. That includes the current international support campaign, ongoing fellowship coordination, and earlier community and resource outreach. An address is a contact route: it may represent an individual or an organization, and some addresses failed or were corrected.
| Documented activity | Sent emails |
|---|---|
| Current Kenya and Malawi resource and support effort | 361 |
| International fellowship coordination | 22 |
| Historical community-meal outreach | 18 |
| Recovery/resource and ministry accountability correspondence | 4 |
| October 27 ministry update sent to local leaders | 2 |
| Total | 407 |
The current 361-message effort consists of 331 national church and ministry campaign messages, including three corrected-address resends; 28 specialist resource inquiries; one library follow-up; and one subsequent reply arranging contact with African Missions For Christ. The overall 407-message total includes the two outward-facing copies of the October 27 ministry update sent to the local leaders. The internal team copy is tracked separately. The national campaign involved 328 initial prospect records from the register of 483 researched prospects. Research continues to provide possible contacts, but a researched prospect is not yet a contacted organization.
These figures measure work completed in reaching out. They do not establish how many people read an email or how many partnerships have formed. Thirteen delivery failures were identified in the national campaign; three routes received corrected-address resends, and ten failed routes still need resolution. We are keeping those distinctions clear as we follow up.
A new connection for mutual support in Malawi
We have made contact with African Missions For Christ, whose email name is AMFCW. Following our initial outreach and email exchange with Rev. Russell McElroy, we had a very fruitful conversation. They expressed that they would love to partner with us, and we agreed to support one another as we move forward.
African Missions For Christ has direct ministry work in Malawi. Its published background names Rev. Russell and Evangelist Theresa McElroy and describes a ministry founded in 2008. Its work includes evangelism, prison ministry, hospital outreach, and practical community support. We are encouraged by the opportunity to build this relationship alongside the fellowships we already serve.
During our conversation, AMFC reported that its radio tower had been erected and that it was awaiting a frequency. Its website also says the station is awaiting a licence. We are praying for this work and exploring ways to help, while the assigned frequency, approval status, remaining equipment needs, and launch date are clarified.
They have shared four YouTube links and connections for us to explore. This is a developing relationship of mutual encouragement and support; the particular projects, resources, and responsibilities will be worked out together. We are not announcing a financial pledge or shipment on their behalf.

Further replies and practical opportunities
A possible library pathway in Kenya
Kibabii University Library provided a substantive reply about the African Library Project pathway in western Kenya, along with three named referral contacts. Its explanation identified important requirements: committed local leadership, a dedicated library space, a teacher-librarian, training, and arrangements for transporting books.
We sent a follow-up, and an overnight reply on October 27 has now connected the conversation directly with the Rongo University team led by Dr. Joel Nakitare. Kibabii explained that this is the more appropriate team for our location and copied its contacts into the email.
The reply also clarified that the application deadline for the current selection cycle was September 15, 2026. The next intake does not yet have a confirmed opening date. A community initiative would need to work through a physical school or established library, with appropriate leadership commitments. Teacher-librarian training generally takes two to three days; local transport, accommodation, and book collection would need to be planned.
No host arrangement or library approval has been secured yet. The useful next step is to discuss eligibility and future application timing with the Rongo team while identifying a suitable local host.
A computer option with costs to evaluate
World Computer Exchange replied and explained that its equipment option requires payment for computers and shipping. We now have a possible route to assess against local sourcing and the resources available. We do not yet have a confirmed donated-computer shipment to announce.
Alongside the new African Missions For Christ relationship, these two resource-provider conversations are helping us understand the options. Other messages have resulted in acknowledgments or availability notices. We appreciate every response, while recognizing that a referral, an acknowledgment, and an agreed commitment each represent different stages of the work.
Needs reported by local leaders
Kenya · Rongo area
John’s correspondence identifies priorities including food, safe water, Luo and English Bibles, and printed study resources. Practical teaching needs include access to a printer or laptop, group audio, power, and data. We need to establish realistic first quantities and current local prices before making a purchase plan.
Malawi · Blantyre–Machinjiri
Patrick’s correspondence identifies food, Chichewa and English Bibles, children’s learning materials, and support for printing and group teaching. Equipment needs include a printer, a speaker with a microphone, backup energy, and internet data. Existing access to a laptop and phone hotspot helps, while printing, audio, and reliable power remain constraints.
These needs have been reported by local leaders. We are still developing costed plans, and we will keep personal family circumstances and sensitive information private. Public updates will focus on the work and on confirmed outcomes.
Earlier service and continuing connections
The ministry’s records also include community-meal organizing and local volunteer and media outreach from 2025, along with recovery-resource conversations. Those efforts reflect the wider history of reaching out to serve and connect people with help.
Historical offers remain part of that history. They are not being carried forward as new pledges to the present international campaign. We will report purchases, funds received, and distributions when the supporting records establish what took place.
Stewardship and the responsibilities of each ministry
Victory Over Vice Ministries carries the teaching, prayer, discipleship, fellowship, and recovery-focused ministry work. Victory Works Charitable Ministries is the separately incorporated charitable organization developing practical support. Unshaken Voice Productions is a separate company providing donated publication support.
For any funded support, the next steps need to include a clear purpose, an agreed budget, records of purchase, and confirmation of distribution. We are not announcing a new grant award, completed international shipment, or delivery of the Bibles or printing equipment requested through this current effort. Those outcomes still need to be achieved and documented.
What we are working toward next
- Establish the first practical priorities: obtain dated local prices and initial quantities with John and Patrick, and compare local purchase with shipping where appropriate.
- Develop the Malawi relationship: continue the conversation with African Missions For Christ and agree on useful first steps for mutual support.
- Clarify the library opportunity: continue with the Rongo University contacts, establish future intake timing, and assess whether a suitable local host arrangement is possible.
- Evaluate equipment realistically: consider the full cost of equipment, shipping, power, connectivity, maintenance, and local use before making commitments.
- Continue appropriate follow-up: pursue relevant resource conversations, resolve failed contact routes, and keep clear records of replies and commitments.
- Keep the ministry informed: our next update is planned for Thursday, October 29. The weekly preparation schedule is active for Thursday mornings at 8 a.m. Eastern, with review before release.
How to pray and take part
Please pray for the local leaders and families, for access to Scripture, for daily needs, and for wisdom in deciding what to do first. Pray also that useful connections lead to practical, sustainable help.
If you know a church, missions team, resource provider, or qualified contact who may be able to help with these specific needs, please reach out. We would welcome a conversation about what is available and what arrangements would be required.

You can request future updates through the optional newsletter page. Receiving an outreach email does not enroll anyone.
Thank you for your prayers, your encouragement, and your willingness to serve. We look forward to sharing further progress as the next steps become confirmed outcomes.
